YouTube's August 10th Controversy - AdBlocker Views the Culprit?

Can’t say I’ve noticed any difference on our end from a views perspective. But hard to know given all the crazy events in the world have led people to discover digital rights for the first time, so we’re seeing good numbers on the views front!

What I can say is the largest impact of adblockers is on ad revenue. Only about a a quarter of our views are monetized views. There’s a 72.5% revenue gap from June-July. Not sure how typical this is for the whole platform, but that’s the main thing I’ve noticed. Not a huge concern for us as we have many other revenue models and we actively encourage our community to use ad-blockers.
