YouTube ads on Brave browser has arrived?

Has anyone else started seeing YouTube ads on the latest Brave browser, 1.56.20 running Windows? :cry:

***The Brave MacOS browser is blocking YouTube ads, as usual.

I don’t use Brave Browser. I use Firefox Browser.

But it looks like not only one.

I did find a community post about adding additional filter into Brave shield.

It might work for you.

Thx, i won’t upgrade brave yet. Cuz im not getting ads on the version i use

I recognized it on reddit as well. Default Brave on Windows does not block ads there any more… still works on Linux though

Do you mean by using Brave ad filter or UBlock origin?

brave://components/

Check for update

Brave Ad Block List Catalog

&

Brave Ad Block Updater

have you set your shields to ‘Strict’ ?

Use ublock origin and disable brave shield :slight_smile:

I still use UBlock Origin with Brave because UBlock can block additional tracking scripts.

I think you could just add any other filter list like HaGeZi or OISD to Brave Shields using brave://settings/shields/filters via the address bar to get pretty much the same protection.
