I don’t use social media, but I have a group on a message board, aside from here, in which I am active. I routinely post about privacy in connection with topics and get very little response. Before the protests this past weekend I posted the EFF safety information related to attending protests and posted a Naomi Brockwell video for those that think they have no reason to be concerned with privacy. I got a reply in the group thanking me for the information because they attended, with a phone, but used the information to scrub meta data from their pictures that they shared. I consider that a win that someone read then benefit from the information.
