I’ve changed the phone number on my Signal account from my eSIM with my carrier to my Google Voice number.
The GV number is on an account enrolled in Google’s Advanced Protection Program. This, combined with a long complex alphanumeric Signal PIN, makes my account extremely resistant to any take over attempts.
