Well I suggested brave for a few reasons:
- It is Chromium and since you were using Edge, I thought you’d like to stay with Chromium.
- It is a significantly and objectively a superior browser when it comes to privacy. Security should be the same as its all Chromium underneath.
- Edge does not support uBO but Brave will and I see no reason they would stop anytime soon. They can’t. Too many people depend on it including the developers and the leadership of the product. uBO isn’t going anywhere as far as I am aware.
If you like such features, I suggest you also look at Floorp. Its a Firefox fork based out of Japan and there is a proper company behind it and not necessarily only community driven like Libewolf. uBO and every other FF extension works on that but you don’t have to worry about FF’s recent TOS change and fiasco with this. Give it a try, you might like it. They do have some nifty features and functionality.
