It looks really nice! I think there should be more non-privacy features shown, like it’s cross-platformness, unlimited attachment size, etc. I would like to use it, but I’m not in an English speaking country

I mention Signal to people who I meet through work, and they often have not heard of it.

I would consider adding something that lets them know what Signal is like “Better than text” “safer than text” etc.

Also ask some people you are in class with but may not use Signal their thoughts on if this would peak their curiosity enough to scan the link.

It depends who is your target audience. “Normies” don’t generally care about privacy. Sad, but that’s reality. Which means this kind an argument alone will not convince them to switch.

Its unusable lol. Also it isnt a Signal developed technology right? Thanks I am excluding it.

Actually my very whole audencie target are “Tech Normies” lol. My experience with some of my friends was that they were privacy aware but assumed all tech just worked the same.

My goal with it, is to give them the actual names of their privacy concerns and familiarize them with some tech terms so that they know what to look for and research themselves.

Thanks for the advice.
Do you think I should do something like a comparison chart with other non-privacy focused services / technologies such as Whatsapp, SMS, Messenger… Or should I completely avoid mentioning them, to prevent indirectly promoting them.

Nice work you’ve inspired me to make my own stickers!

First, youre welcome, and I love your sticker idea.

I like comparisons. It quickly gives the comparison between the three in a simple way.

These examples are not intended as a comparison just how I typically think of the three;

Signal is first class mail - its delivered by someone who isnt going to read it in a sealed envelope. You can send stuff that cant in a text (better photo, a pdf doc, etc).

Whats app is a letter scanned in and emailed to you through gmail (like fbook almost everyone has a gmail) - its contents are visible to who delivered it, and its forever online in the database even if you delete the message or your account.

SMS is like a postcard - the carrier can be trusted to deliver the message, you dont know if anyone has read the message, and the carrier will take a picture of of the message and store it forever.

Keep doing your own thing… Its already pretty awesome as is.

Thanksss :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed: Then you should definitely share them please

Hi  I couldnt find the unlimited attachment feature :frowning:

Is it still the same as the article says?

Also does anyone know how compressed does attachments get? (Even with HQ enabled I am still getting some blur)

Ok, maybe I’m misremembering, but the size limit is definitely larger that in other apps

Haven’t had time recently to work on em, but I will once they’re done!

@Henry your Clips editor happens to be an absolute privacy artist and advocate as well. :star_struck:

Any way to share his work, so that others can join too?? (Including me :mmm:)

All the artworks are interesting, but still focusing on the privacy part. Privacy matters. Ok. Cool. Why? Why should I care? I have nothing to hide, right?

We all know these “arguments”. Even here there are many topics about those, or about how difficult is to explain friends/family what privacy actually is and why it matters.

The same goes for the “Your data is yours…”. First problem is another bad argument - they know everything already anyway and second problem is that people have no idea how much data is actually collected.

I think that, to function as a sticker, the message must be:

  • COOL or trendy (for a younger audience)
    or
  • simplified comparison between different services
    or
  • interesting/clever enough to spark the conversation

(That said - “No ads. No trackers. No kidding.” is catchy.)
