It started pretty recently for me, around October of 2021. I started getting interested in Linux, and from there learned about all the of tracking that Microsoft did in Windows, so I ended up installing Linux Mint. That was pretty much all I did privacy wise until 4-5 months ago, when I needed support for Kdenlive. I found out there was no Discord server for it, but there was something called Matrix.org I could use to join a community. While browsing through the public rooms, I found Techlore. I had no idea what it was at first, but pretty soon I started watching all the Go Incognito videos and slowly getting more into privacy.
