does anyone know why I can’t connect to my VPN provider’s Wireguard server? (Mullvad)

I’ve never seen that error message, but you can try this.
Press the down arrow to change the ‘working mode’ to DNS & Firewall.
Also check if the WG configuration has a valid public key on Mullvad site
I created two wireguard files from 2 different servers and still didn’t work.
DNS + Firewall mode is already enabled.
Well, the logs should provide an explaining on why it is failing.
I’ll check the logs to try to understand what happened
rdns dev here
This error message might mean Rethink does not have the INTERNET permission, which is normally granted to ALL apps that request it (by default) on most ROMs but can be revoked on a case-by-case basis by the end-user using Android’s built-in Settings app.
Make sure Rethink is allowed to use data (both Wifi & Mobile) in Android Settings (see: vid tutorial / mirror; the steps may vary across ROMs).
The screenshot of Rethink’s homescreen you shared shows that it is running in Firewall-only mode (notice: “Enable DNS mode” in the top left-hand tile on the homescreen).
Still didn’t work. I cleaned the cache, allowed internet connection but it fails to connect with Wireguard server, no chance
(
What error message does it give now? The term “failing” is too generic
“Leaks”, I do not think you have Google as your isp, you can see there it detects 2 dns servers, mullvad NL one and google one.
Can you please check if Configure - DNS - Advanced - Never proxy DNS is on?
Try it, I don’t remember if when it’s off it actually uses custom dns over wireguard one
Are you running Rethink’s WireGuard in Simple mode or Advanced mode? You hadn’t answer this question when I asked it previously (making it difficult to understand just what’s going on): RethinkDNS + Wireguard as proxy causing DNS leak - #9 by ignoramous
In advanced mode
I tried as you said but DNS queries are still leaking
I don’t know what to do
I wrote this in the previous thread where you suspected a “leak”:
It’s strange, because when I check on the website dnsleakstest.com it says that there are no leaks but on the Mullvad website it shows that there are leaks
As you can see my configuration is correct, now I just don’t know who to believe if a leak is occurring or not.
Heh, I’m just having trouble keeping Wireguard stable, it’ll be fine and then start freezing and I switch through a few configured connections with no change so it doesn’t seem to be a server load issue.
No, it doesn’t mean that.
This site has that ip. It was resolved by your cache, nothing else
