I don’t know if the experiences of others will line up but I haven’t heard anyone bring it up in person more than a day after its launch.
Threads usage is still dropping. On 23 July it was down to 12.6 million users and I’m sure it has dropped further since then and likely below 10 million. There’s several reasons Threads didn’t retain the surge of users, but the biggest one IMO is one that even Zuckerberg is aware of as listed in the article I linked:
“there’s still a lot of basic functionality to build”
Threads’ features are more limited, if they have even have the feature which doesn’t give most people a reason to use Threads if they already use Twitter. Despite recent decisions such as requiring an account to view it, Twitter still has its massive user base, features that Threads need to work on, and a wide range of content that Threads either doesn’t have, or won’t allow like NSFW art.
