Their “standard” is just about cosmetic / appearance, whilst the biggest crime is the trackers behind them.
The only “Acceptable Ads” for me are the ones that don’t collect information to the 3rd party. This includes
- Self-promotion of the sites themselves
or if it’s from sources other than that website
- No connections being made to 3rd party,
- No tracking parameters on the ads links / images,
- If there’s click event (on images, links…), no information being sent in the process (in the headers or URLs’ parameters…)
the cosmetics / appearances come after that.
