Personally, I wouldn’t treat that as a general takeaway… It works for Cryptee because they have a separate encryption key which protects your data, something almost no other service with Google SSO will do, and because Cryptee unfortunately still hasn’t gotten around to adding FIDO2 MFA themselves.
Just remember that interviews with the CEOs of privacy companies will obviously contain opinions that come from the (inherently biased) perspective of the CEO of that privacy company 
I think it’s good to gather opinions from leaders in the space, but bad to treat them as fact simply due to their authority. If you’ve done your own research and come to the same conclusion yourself however, then that’s great.
