That’s bad…like really bad. I personally feel that people are depending on “convenience” far too much at the moment. It’s funny how people complain about ads and trackers but still say that they like Chrome/Edge and it’s easy to use. Safari has some weight behind it in the privacy aspect, though it’s obviously not the best, which I can understand as being a driving factor for Apple users to continue using it. However, Google Chrome/Edge/Opera and other data mining browsers need to be discouraged. If someone needs a Chromium experience they can always go with Brave, or even Vivaldi. If they’d like to go away from the eco-system, Firefox is far better than it ever used to be,
I honestly get frustrated by how much I continuously try to advise people to make the switch and they just don’t seem bothered enough. If Firefox were to somehow shut down thanks to the worst circumstances, we’d probably be powerless. TOR would have to rebase to Chromium if they are to continue the project, which wouldn’t be as beneficial as Firefox. 
P.S. Sorry for deviating from the main focus of the thread…I am an extremely paranoid individual and this particular outcome honestly frightens me a lot.
