Hmm. Makes sense.
What I would do if I had control over how it’s presented is something like this:
Under every tool/product/software recommendation - follow the same structure. For example:
ProtonVPN:
Software Type: open-source, primarily paid but free tier available
Mobile/Smartphone: iOS, Android
Desktop: Windows, macOS, Linux
rethinkDNS:
Software Type: free
Mobile/Smartphone: Android
Desktop: N/A
Ente Auth:
Software Type: Free and open source
Mobile/Smartphone: iOS, Android
Desktop: Windows, macOS, Linux
Note: also available on web (view only)
–
So, the standard structure which you can develop based on my examples above is something like this:
Software/Tool/Product Name:
Software Type: [free or paid, open source or proprietary, free tier available (if applicable)]
Smartphone: [iOS, Android]
Desktop: [Windows, macOS, Linux]
Note: [anything immediately germane to the tool one should know before even going to their website to learn more from the source - if applicable]
And you can make adjustments and changes for specific tools wherever applicable as you see fit but this is to give you an idea of a structure for how all info should be displayed for easy and quick browsing.
These are my suggestions.
@Henry - what do you think?
