Stopping webrtc

I would like to use brave with bravetalk (webrtc required)
Can i disable the ip leaking of webrtc just by using mullvad on lockdown mode + killswitch on wireguard force ipv4.
Or do i need to go into brave settings and force webrtc through my vpn (this is preferred but i dont know if it would make brave talk not work)

Only one way to find out… did you try this?

I get my laptop in 2 days, just wondering so when i set it up i dont make any privacy/opsec mistakes

You can always undo it if things don’t work. Best way in my view/experience is to always try it out yourself.

Hope someone else can better answer it for you.

Thanks, incase of no one knowing (unfortunate but possible) ill try it with webrtc routed through mullvad, if it doesnt work ill just enable it (shouldnt leak anyways due to lockdown mode)

I’m not even sure why this is even a concern for you. If your threat model is this high - then you’d be better off not using the tool you want to use in the first place and find alternatives.

My threat model is paranoid personality disorder

Not sure if that’s sarcasm or not.

But if that’s the case, then I don’t think you getting a proper answer for your question is going to be satisfactory. Very few things will be.

But you do you.

No, it was a half joke. I’m also utterly obsessed with anything related to opsec, osint, or anything of the sort. Every little thing that can make me more secure is a little victory to me

It sounds and feels unhealthy to have this level of paranoia or requirement for yourself, not to mention exhausting to maintain and keep up.

But like I said, you do you. But believe me, you will more likely than not burn out and it won’t lead to anything good.

Having a balance with it all is key - where minimal maintenance is only what should be needed with ones op-sec.

Thanks for the concern, obsession was not the correct choice of words for me, haha. More like a passion/hobby. Thanks for the feedback!
