I want to switch to linux, but security seems really, really bad compared to mac and windows on every distro except qubes. I wanted to dive into the deep end with gentoo, but figuring out how to make the thing even remotely secure compared to the other two was a nightmare. And to be clear, that’s not a gentoo problem. It’s a general linux (culture) problem.
We’re lucky Android has grapheneos to care about security, not just privacy. I’d rather have the freedom of gentoo, but I guess if I can’t have gentoo in a qubes like set up, I’d have to settle for qubes.
