I have two questions about a Windows 11 Clean Install on a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 as I will do that soon.
→ If I do the clean install, can I still install BIOS/Driver updates on the device?
→ When I enter the Installation setup, I can see a recovery partition named “WINRETOOLS” or something like that. Should I delete that partition like all other partitions?
Yes, you should be able to. If I’m not mistaken, that’s an Intel i3-11th gen laptop, right? If it’s the one I found, there are several drivers available. Just install what you need. If you don’t disable Windows Update, it should also be able to install those drivers automatically.
WINRETOOLS is basically a recovery partition that Dell would use to help service your machine. You can learn more about it here. I’d personally remove it, as you’re already removing the OS it was installed alongside. Though, it’s ultimately up to you.
