Privacy concerns about setting up your domain name as firstnamelastname.com for personal email

Hi, I was wondering if it’s a good idea for privacy to use a firstnamelastname.com domain as your personal email (not to sign up for websites, just personal stuffs like banking, healthcare, school, friend and family…) or it would be good to use arandomusername.com.

The idea is, instead of using a firstnamelastname@proton or firstnamelastname@tutanota email address, you get to use xyz@firstnamelastname.

What do you think? Is it wise to use a @firstnamelastname.com?

It’s up to you. If you use it in places where people would already know your full name, it wouldn’t make a difference.

If you don’t mind people knowing your full name/your identity (or they already know it) then you’ll be fine.
