It’s taken a few months as we’re behind on some projects, but I’ve finally gone ahead and finalized our Patreon changes for 2024! My goals this year were to simplify your Patreon experience & make things more consistent. Let me dive into the updates:
Simplify
- I’ve rebranded the Patreon tiers to be a bit more intuitive for people who aren’t directly on Patreon. The prior naming scheme was confusing people, so I’ve simplified it to Bronze, Silver, & Gold. Super easy that everyone can easily follow! ($5/$10/$50/m respectively)
- The $15/month ‘Hidden Helper’ tier is being transitioned to the new $10/month silver tier. The $10 Silver tier is exactly the same offering as our prior $15/month tier, so now you can get those same perks for less! All hidden helpers will be sent a message about how to transition to the new tier, as Patreon does not allow us to do it automatically when there’s a price modification.
- We’re leaning more into our patron-only Signal group now that Signal offers the ability to hide your phone number! If you missed our most recent announcement, check it out here to join our private Signal group. Awesome to see all the new beautiful faces!
- I’ve migrated all our Patreon posts away from tags and to the new collections feature
- I’ve cleaned up our post with your perks to be much easier to navigate to prevent confusion
- Many other minor changes to clean up on Patreon page and make it easier to navigate. There have been a lot of changes over the years, so I wanted to make sure everything was properly updated
Consistency
While there are several areas I’m happy with in regards to Patreon, there are a couple areas I haven’t been consistent enough with that I’m hoping to improve:
- First, I’ve fallen behind on publishing Sneak Peeks. I haven’t been on a consistent enough upload routine to accurately do sneak peeks, but these will be resuming as I’m feeling more on top of our uploads. Thanks for the patience!
- Second, I’d like to do more announcements on Patreon for our videos and other projects to make sure you’re all getting direct notifications for what we’re working on. These will mostly be public posts for our public projects (like new videos), but comments will be restricted to only paying patrons so you all can still engage with things in an exclusive manner
