In my language privacy related content is usually associated with activism and digital resistance, not really popular among regular folks. There isn’t much of such content out there. And if people really start to dig into it, not just taking a couple of privacy advices and moving on, they become more cautious and aware about politics and technology. Or maybe they come to the ideas of privacy & security because they’re interested in politics and technology in the first place. These themes really are intertwined in my world.
Usual selling points of privacy & security principles, like convenience and freedom, are not as weighty as in freer societies, but surviving, being safe and connected means more (in my experience).
