Does anyone know how to fix mullvad vpn draining the battery of my iphone? According to the battery stats in the settings ivpn only uses up around 1-2% of battery/day, while mullvad consumes up to 20%. I cannot use it like this, but i already paid for the one month plan, does anyone have a solution?
Sadly no solution. I had the same problem.
I now use “iCloud Privat-Relay” (1$ / month with iCloud+) much wore than a real VPN, but better than nothing
Yeah i switched to mullvad because it is cheaper but i don’t recommend it to anyone. Its also blocked by all websites that have anti vpn, while ivpn bypassed most of them.
This is not an issue for me. Just ensure all your apps and software is updated. Also check the background app refresh of your other apps. There is no reason for Mullvad to do this and have this be an issue.

Idk, I got blocked from reddit, my bank app, and many other local/regional websites. As well as game servers and streaming services. Is there any specific method you use to make it better? Please let me know.
I’ve noticed that just refreshing the connection is often enough to get through to reddit etc.
On the battery drain, there may be differences in how your phone calculates the battery usage. At least in some cases it attributes other apps’ battery usage to the VPN, just because that’s where the traffic is routed through. Not sure why it’s so low on IVPN though. Also, are you using DAITA or multi-hop? I noticed that especially DAITA seems to drain more power.
