Mullvad + open snitch

My mullvad was trying to reconned while I ran open snitch when I look in the open snitch events tab and saw it said 0.0.0.0 in the destination sub tab (0.0.0.0. is the IP from my ISP (its not my real ISPs IP just a random dummy IP) was it trying to ping my ISPs DNS and way and how did i know my ISP DNS ip

(The reason I know it’s my ISPs DNS i because I search the IP up in ipinfo.io)

Was Mullvad’s Kill Switch on? If the kill switch wasn’t on when your VPN connection drops or when it is trying to recconnect, it will show your real IP Address. When Kill Switch is on however, in the event of a drop in connection, it will block network access until the VPN is recconnected.

FYI, Mullvad you cannot turn the Kill Switch off, it on all the time (I don’t understand Anon’s troubles, but KillSwitch is always on)

Yes but there’s a “lock mode” that blocks all your Internet Access if you disable the VPN.
