Muah.ai AI girlfriend site breached exposing sexual fantasies and interactions

Muah.ai markets itself as a platform where users can engage in private, encrypted exchanges, including text, photo, and voice chats with AI companions.

The breach reportedly includes detailed chatbot prompts, which reveal users’ sexual fantasies and interactions. This data is linked to email addresses, many of which include users’ real names, making the exposure particularly sensitive.

The carelessness with using digital tools and products that could dox you upon a single breach is mind blowing.

I blame the lack of digital skills education during upbringing - whatever the reason for the lacking itself may be.

That’s why people should touch some grass and get a real girlfriend…

Growing up I saw simple education around digital literacy. It amounted to the age old truth of “don’t believe everything you read on the internet.” However nowadays I don’t think schools are even talking about that. It seems like there are lots of assumptions that because the younger generation grew up with technology that they already know how to use it, which is far from the case. If you are not taught how to use technology, the products and their makers will teach you instead.

All that to say that if the basics aren’t taught, you def are not learning about all the risk you could put yourself in using services or sites in this way. When people say they have nothing to hide, this is like one of the few things that you probably do want to hide.
