Is there any way to access encrypted volume (by veracrypt) on android?

I like encryption to my devices and USBs. I use veracrypt for encryption. I am using a SD card on phone along with Internal storage. I don’t have anything sensitive yet on SD card. I wish to encrypt SD card and still want to access it from android. I know veracrypt has no support for app for android and whatever the suggestions on their websites for android seem to be not updated for long time. EDS lite was updated in 2020 last time on playstore and 2021 on f-droid. EDS was updated last time in 2022 on playstore and also it is paid version. I am aware of DroidFS on f-droid which is in active development but I don’t think it supports veracrypt encrypted containers. I am not looking for any online options like uploading data to cloud with encryption or anything. I am just looking for a simple solution to access encrypted container (with veracrypt) on android. Any suggestions here?

EDS Lite is the one I have used in the past and it appeared to be working reasonably well. These days though that we have Cryptomator why don’t you just use that? Is there a reason it has to be a Veracrypt volume?

The only disadvantage I see with Cryptomator is that the Android app requires to purchase a license. It is still open source and available on F-Droid and it’s an one time fee not a subscription.

I agree too, I really prefer cryptomator for the compatibility of all devices and the fact that I can put files that are encrypted and others not (because with cryptomator it’s not the whole disk that is encrypted, only one folder)

No particular reason for it to be veracrypt encryption. Can I access this encrypted volume through veracrypt on Fedora? All I want is just cross compatibility like I can access everything back and forth without the hurdle of decrypting or copying files from encrypted volume. As I mentioned in post that I use Veracrypt on desktop for all other device encryption.

Then Cryptomator should serve you well. Only thing to be aware is that the mobile app has an one time fee for the license. The desktop app is free as in beer. Both apps are free as in freedom.

Just give the desktop app a try and if you like it go ahead and purchase a license for the mobile app.

I just realized I forgot to answer this part. If you end up using EDS Lite on your phone. Then you should be able to use zuluCrypt on the desktop. That is what I was using in the past before I migrated over to Cryptomator. You should be able to install zuluCrypt with your package manager on most Linux distros if you want to try it out.
