I appreciate the thought and energy on this but I fear it is hopelessly naive. Every regulation and law comes with unintended consequences. Granting the government broad powers to do things like choose our methods of communication will erode, not bolster privacy.
We need governments to do one thing and one thing only: nothing
Just let privacy conscious people use privacy tools as we see fit. Leave us alone and stop trying to ban encryption or force privacy destroying regulations like website age verification.
