As an IT professional I end up using FF on multiple PCs. While sync is helpful is keeping some items aligned, it doesn’t work for everything. In particular I have some exception entries for websites I trust in the Delete cookies/data exceptions. Any hints on how to keep these and other non synced settings consistent cross multiple installs?
Not sure exactly how well it would work for live sync, but you can sync the Firefox profile folder with an external tool. This should copy all Firefox settings.
In the long run, consider migrating your preferences to user.js to avoid potential compatibility issues across different computers.
See arkenfox for a sample (extremely thorough) user.js:
Nice. I had considered syncing entire the entire Firefox profile folder but that presented it’s own challenges. I was unaware of user.js, - that looks much more promising. Many thanks.
