I think your insight about brave being for people who enjoy privacy but aren’t super worried about fingerprinting is spot on. This is the browser I recommend to most “normies”, because it’s easy to use and works out of the box. Firefox (when modded) is usually more private and doesn’t make use of the chromium monopoly, and I’m more inclined to recommend FF+arkenfox to people actually serious about their digital footprint.
Still, privacy is just one thing to consider when choosing software, and the browser remains fast and modern, while continuing to block most ads. It’s still a solid option compared to the garbage that is chrome/edge/opera.
