Hi everyone. I have been getting BSOD errors on Windows 10 recently. The specific stop code is WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. In the Event Viewer, some errors include things like DCOM, could not access service, etc. (I am not sure how to copy and attach logs). If anyone has any idea what might help, please let me know. Tried SFC, DISM, CHKDSK, but none of these seem to have fixed the issue.
Can you find Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA) logs in Event Viewer (maybe under Windows Logs → System in the sidebar)? If so, they should indicate which component is causing problems. WHEA errors could refer to virtually any hardware in your computer.
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
Windows.SecurityCenter.WscCloudBackupProvider
That doesn’t sound related to the error you shared IMO, you’d want to look for events specific to WHEA. Event Viewer will log a lot of other warnings and errors which have nothing to do with your real problem.
Oh ok I saw that this error had popped up multiple times and I could estimate that they occurred approximately close to the times I encountered the BSOD errors. Will try digging into it further.
Hi my PC just BSODed a couple of minutes back, so I’m gonna copy the errors which came before it here. Please let me know if any of these could be the issue.
It’s a gaming laptop (my first one yet since I wanted to try and see what it’s like). An Ideapad with a Ryzen 5 and NVIDIA discrete gpu.
Related to this issue, are there any NextDNS filter lists which are known to break essential Windows services. I was just wondering if this is because some resources could not be downloaded.
So I upgraded to Windows 11 and I got CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED errors again. Had to send my laptop for another repair due to a BSOD loop which started. Yet to receive it.
From some research, I found out that CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED and WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR both occur due to hardware faults or drivers/BIOS being out of date. I manually updated all drivers and BIOS so that shouldn’t be the issue. Any idea what hardware issues may cause these? SFC and DISM don’t show any type of faults whatsoever. CHKDSK did not solve the issues either.
Also, merry christmas everyone! And all the best for the New Year! Would appreciate if you could tag anyone who could help.
I have got my laptop back and it turns out the SSD was shorting out. Thank you to everyone here who offered help…discovered a lot of stuff about troubleshooting that I didn’t know before.
Have a good day! I’ll be marking this thread as solved.
