  1. Incident Overview:
    Conduent Business Services, LLC, a third-party service provider for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, experienced a cyber incident. An unauthorized third party accessed their network from October 21, 2024, to January 13, 2025, and obtained files containing personal information of certain individuals.
  2. Information Involved:
    The compromised files included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and, in some cases, treatment/diagnosis information, treatment cost, treatment dates, and provider details. There is currently no evidence of misuse of this information.
  3. Response Measures:
    Conduent secured its systems, notified law enforcement, and conducted a detailed analysis with internal and external experts. Affected individuals are being notified and offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Kroll for 12 months.
