Bitwarden—Support for ProtonPass File Import Format Coming Next Week!

According to one of the moderators of Bitwarden’s Community Forum, next week Bitwarden will get release 2023.9 that will allow ProtonPass users to import their .json exports to Bitwarden.

This is awesome for me currently as a former Bitwarden user that switched to ProtonPass that is now wanting to go back to Bitwarden.

I wonder if there are any other members of the community that have wanted this feature as well.

I’m one of those who needed this!

Nice! I’m excited to get back to Bitwarden. Even if ProtonPass’s UI is better, Bitwarden is more mature and stabile across different clients.

Autofill only on primary vault on free plan is one of the things I don’t like about proton pass.

That’s fair. I didn’t even know about that. I just want to diversify my resources instead of having all my eggs in the Proton basket

I mainly use KeePassXC (simply because I just like to manage my passwords myself as opposed to using a server). Tried ProtonPass for a bit and changed back immediately. UI is great, but as a password manager Bitwarden and KeePassXC are far better.
