The topic of memory cards seems pretty simple and doesn’t raise privacy questions. But should I know something before buying and using one?
- They get lost easily
- They can potentially be quite slow
- Not good long term storage
Remember that flash memory is fast and convenient but data can get corrupted over time. Use optical disks or magnetic tape for long term storage. This can decay too but it’s probably more reliable than flash. If it’s not for long term storage then go ahead though.
